This depends on the child’s ability, attention span, maturity, and interest level. Call our office to discuss the appropriate age for your instrument of choice.
Of course! Many of our students are beginning adults with no prior music experience. It’s never too late to pick up an instrument and start learning!

We recommend one lesson per week. Scheduling is done directly with your instructor. This gives students enough time to practice and absorb concepts taught in that week’s lesson, but not enough time to forget them
Our in-home music lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes per session. Robert Gallagher's in-studio lessons are either 30 or 60 minutes per session.
Ideally, each student should practice at least once a day. With our busy lives practice can be hard to fit in, but aiming for at least 3 times a week usually ensures enough practice until your next lesson. What if I have a tough time getting my child to practice? This is normal. Young students typically will not practice on their own. They will need encouragement from you to keep moving forward and not quit when it gets tough. Remember, no one regrets learning an instrument, but most people regret not sticking with it.
No. Consistency with lessons is what keeps you moving forward. There is always something to be learned or questions to be answered at your lesson.
